- Builds on the fundamental skills learned in level 2 with headfirst entry from the side in a seated or kneeling position, bobbing while moving towards a wall or safety, rhythmic breathing, changing from vertical to horizontal position, freestyle or front crawl, backstroke, treading water, and survival floating.
Level 4 (Ages 7-8):

Level 5 (Ages 8-10):
- Refines and builds confidence in strokes as well as incorporates diving from the side, dive into streamline, flipturns, open turns, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, treading water for longer periods of time.

All ages listed are recommendations or common ages among lesson groups. If you sign your swimmer up for a lesson that ends up being too easy or too hard, please speak with their instructors and they will happily find another level that is better suited for your swimmer’s needs.
